SSN or TIN for LLC

Question:
Can we use a SSN for a LLC account or do they need to apply for a Tax ID Number when there is only one owner?
Answer:

Use of an SSN is appropriate for a single member LLC. The entity is considered "transparent" for income tax purposes. For TIN matching, it is important that the account be titled with the owner's name first, "Jane Doe, DBA Acorn Photography, LLC." Account documentation required would be like that for any other LLC.
