Tickler vs. Exception Report

Question:
What is the difference between a tickler file and an exception report?
Answer:

Banks use tickler files to organize current or future tasks that need to be tracked or completed. Such items could be done on a one-time or recurring basis. Ticklers can be software, spreadsheets, or in-house databases. Exception reports can be generated by tickler files. In this case, an exception report is the product of a tickler file.
