We try to lessen our feelings and reassure ourselves and everyone else that what we experienced is not a big deal, but there are signs and behaviors that we need to be aware of that reveal how a person is really dealing with what happened. How we handle the aftermath of a trauma is extremely important to moving forward in a healthy way.
