Written Permission to Access Credit Reports Required

Answered by:

Question:
Is a person’s written consent required for us to access their credit bureau file?
Answer:

No! You can have an oral request for a loan and that is a permissible purpose. And there are non-new loan requests reasons which are permissible purposes as well.
