While on “hiatus” between working for the CFPB as an intern in the Office of Servicemember Affairs and starting work as an examiner, our BOL user "spff2627" created this basic tool for military lending and customer handling according to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and the Military Lending Act. It acts as both a basic learning aid and a resource which defines the rules for each law, and the differences between the two.
When reviewing a servicemember or dependent, basic questions include what is covered, who is covered, interest rates, terms and conditions, how to identify covered borrowers and more.
