New FDIC resources for consumers

The FDIC has announced the availability of new resources to help consumers understand their rights and make well-informed decisions about money:

  • a new, online Information and Support Center portal that consumers can use the Center to easily submit and track a request, complaint or inquiry about a financial institution and submit requests or complaints about FDIC practices or procedures to the FDIC Ombudsman
  • a new FDIC Knowledge Center, which provides easy-to-find answers to questions about banking and lending.
  • new posting on its Twitter feed @FDIC.gov. The tweets will include some of the Knowledge Center's questions and answers each weekday.
  • a quiz that consumers can use year-around to test their knowledge of money management
