Dealing with excessive overdraft activity

Answered by:

Question:
If a customer doesn't opt in and continues to have debit transactions that overdraw an account what is the bank’s course of action with this customer?
Answer:

You could consider revoking ATM and/or debit cards after a certain number or dollar amount of overdrafts. However, you would need to do the same thing for customers who have opted in, since you can’t create different account terms and conditions based on whether a customer has opted in.
