Remember Typewriters?
Up until just a short time ago, employees of First National Bank of Chicago who were requested to issue foreign currency checks had to do so with a typewriter, and a lot of specific instructions.
Their installation of PayBase payment software from Bottomline Technologies, Inc. of Portsmouth, NH has changed their methods of issuance, and saves them a whole lot of time and energy.
Not only does the system print the foreign currency drafts automatically and correctly, it even incorporates the local banking rules of the individual country. So whether it the peso, the euro, the ruble or the escudo, it can be issued quickly and efficiently.
And without ever touching the typewriter.
