So, it was quite foggy/mucky/humid/gross this morning. My children, who usually tend to the dogs, are out of town so my husband and I had to schlep water out to their pen.
My Lab, Lucy, comes bouncing out the back door with me. She veers to the right and sniffs the ground a little...and loving...gingerly...carefully...picks up a dead MOUSE and heads back toward the house - where the back door was open!!!
So I yelled at her to drop it...and I swear, she looked at me so dejected...and just as carefully put the mouse back on the ground.
So while I was hauling water...my husband had to dispose of a mouse carcass. He attempted to throw it across the road...and the tail broke off!
What am I going to do with a dog that thinks she's a cat???
