We're the indirect auto lending area ("dealer paper") for a national bank.

Kansas UCCC 16a-2-501(1)(e)(iii) appears to give us two options for assessing an NSF check fee:
1) $10.00 max fee without any notice requirement, or
2) $30.00 max fee WITH a requirement that 14 day notice be given to the drawer or maker.

Is this an accurate interpretation of the statute?

If so, the business decision will be whether to forego some fee income (gasp!) in order to be relieved from a notification burden.
Thanks!
