Do most banks require the customer to bring their marriage license or divorce decree to the bank in order to change their last name due to marriage or a divorce? Our policy has been to require the customer to provide either a drivers license or social security card with their new name. Is this sufficient?

I would ask for a copy of the new marriage license or divorce decree in addition to the newly issued DL.
