Well, AC/DC is my all time fav but I didn't pay the $100 they are on sale for now. I could see 5 shows for that much with lesser known bands. I've seen AC/DC twice so if I hadn't seen them before, I'd probably pay it.

BG - $100 for a big-name band is CHEAP!
Have you heard that Phish is getting back together next year and will start off their tour in Virginia in March?

The ticket companies are a pain in the butt! We've been trying to get tickets for the Penn State game this weekend and they seem to have all of the spare tickets and want 3 times face price or more.

If Peter Gabriel ever re-united with Genesis, I would pay $500.

I would also pay $500 or more for a 5 hour Tool concert.

I don't think I could bring myself to pay more than $100 dollars, except if I had the chance for really, really good seats for a Paul McCartney/Ringo Starr show, but it would have to be both of them appearing together.

Bugs - we saw Ringo's All Starr Band in Vegas a few years ago. Tickets were $45 and well worth it. If you ever have a chance to see them, it's a great show.

I just don't like paying all that money for a show, especially when I can see other shows for 1/4 of that. What stinks with the AC/DC tix is that all of them are $100 no matter where you are sitting. It's ridiculous.
In the past year, I've seen: Iced Earth-$30 Judas Priest/Heaven and [censored]/Motorhead and Testament- $40 Iron Maiden- $40 Airbourne- $10 Reverend Horton Heat/Hank III- $25 Kid Rock/Lynyrd Skynyrd- $23
I'd rather see many concerts throughout the year instead of 1 a year.

I might spend as much as $100 or so for a favorite performer, but it would really depend on the venue. I've passed on some big-names that I would've like to see (Paul McCartney, U2, Peter Gabriel...) because they were playing Key Arena, which is a terrible venue for concerts and pretty much a waste of money (unless you're willing to pay top $$$$$ for main floor seating).

Ok Comp Guy - the thread is how much would you pay - not how much you could get the tickets for - you need to move on into the brag thread!!!!
I guess I am boycotting the Ticketmaster surcharges that bring the ticket from $88 to $103. GRR
