Do you have to work tomorrow or is your bank closed for Veterans Day? We used to stay open but we have closed the last several years because of complaints from our customers because we were not honoring our veterans.

My husband, who is a veteran, complained for years because he had to work and I had the day off.

Open - used to be closed, but due to competition from Commerce, we are now open  You mean Bank North? They changed all of the signs in NJ.

Christmas only... The rest were all work days, with no comp time. You wanted off, you took a vacation day, if it was approved. That's awful. That's almost worse than working in retail sales at Christmas time. I can see why you don't work there any more.

That's almost worse than working in retail sales at Christmas time. I can see why you don't work there any more. Yeah, but the pay was ok, and at the time the sales bonuses were phenomenal!!! In three years of branch sales and management and working 60-70 hour weeks, I paid off my student loans, credit cards, and had a downpayment for my first condo. At the time, it was well worth it.
