She sang from her rectum! laugh

Kara likes Simon, and he loves how he can so easily get under her skin... I think it is actually fun to watch him play her!

What ticked me off was at one time in the show they showed 3 people who were sent to Hollywood. A guy and 2 girls but you didn't 'really' get to hear their audtions.

I missed the freaks last night.

I may have to spend more time in front of the mirror today to make up for it.

Ok, last night was in my state...'bout an hour away from me.
Nothing spectacular from KY but some surrounding states pulled through on talent.

But let me just say this... that good ol' country boy who couldn't sing worth a lick did NOT threaten them when he said "thank you and be careful"!!!!! That is a freakin saying that is said around here. We say be careful to everyone!

Hollywood people need to knock the chips off their shoulders.

mad

SpeK, I thought the VERY same thing! I couldn't believe that Paula was *really* concerned!

Kinda silly to get workedup about.

On the Paula note, doesn't she seem much more "with it" so far this season?

I've missed the freaks two nights in a row now.

I really need to stop reading so much and watch more TV.

Remember, it's edited. We may not have seen something else during his audition that could cause the judges to be worried when he said that, and frankly, it is wierd to say "be careful" for no apparent reason. Threatening? Out of context, no. But it could be.

In Paula's defense, I saw a news report that showed a close up of him as he was leaving the audition room and lip reading experts state he went on to say "because I'm going to dance Straight Up on your head".

(but I could be making that up)

If you need to tell someone to be careful in your neck of the woods, just because, then you need to move to another neck of the woods.

You may have a point.. afterall, Deliverance was filmed a couple counties over.

Then again, all the Florida folks that visit sure don't know how to drive on curvy roads. They need to be told to be careful. And all the locals.. they need to be told to be careful because the Florida folks are attemping to drive on our roads.

We use "be careful" and "y'all take care" around here, too. I wouldn't have thought anything of it even coming from a complete stranger.

I couldn't quite get past the guy who kept saying he was "Louisville to the core" but didn't even say "Louisville" correctly.

It's "Loo-ah-vuhl" not "Loo-ee-vil"!

Anybody watch Salt Lake City last night. Did you think the High School Class President guy was as weird as I did? I didn't think he was good enough for Hollywood, but apparently the judges felt differently.

I liked the last girl the best, but like the judges, I probably liked her more for the total package than for her singing, which needs to improve. But if Jason Castro can make it as far as he did, she certainly has a chance. laugh

My fave of the night was the pink bunny.

I'm with ya. I didn't think Class Prez was very good.

I liked the last girl (Rose?), and the girl with the long hair, too. Liked their voices, and they're both beautiful, too.

And I didn't think the 16 year old girl they compared to Jordin Sparks was as good as they thought she was.

Yeah, class prez was good for a HS Musical type (not movie but in your school).

I still haven't seen one that I think, "That could be the one".

And what's up with the Osmond kid. Couldn't Donnie or Marie open a door for the kid?

I know it's Utah, but haven't any of these kids ever watched the show before? What's with all the religious songs?

Did you see that an apology was issued to Mr. Mudd? In East Texas we say "Be careful" as a matter of course. It's to show concern for people...not threaten them! Anyway, glad they issued an apology for their idiocy! grin

What's wrong with religious songs? Have you watched the show before? While none of the winners sang gospel, Mandisa, George Huff, and many others went on from Idol to record Gospel albums. Moreover, religious songs have been sung even in the top 10.
