Adam Lambert - Ok, I liked his father, but I HATED his version of that song. Not only that, but the whole Adam Lambert as a rocker thing doesn't work for me. Something about it seems like a talented guy playing the part of a rocker in a musical. I have to agree with you on this one. I kept telling my co-worker there is just something about this guy I don't like. Your description hit it on the head for me. He has a good voice, yes, but I just am not crazy about the guy.

I know what you mean about "something about him". I can't understand how he can be so good and not signed yet by anyone. He does come acoss as "Produced".
He kind of looks like a mix between Zach from High School Musical and a Ben Stillers character in Mystery Men.

Last night was the only episode all season I've seen (or I should say "heard," since I was cooking and not watching).
From what I heard, I liked the guy you sang PYT, the guy who sand Black or White, and the girl who sang at the end (I think). I did NOT liek the guy who sang Beat It or the girl who sang Rockin Robin (even though she has a cool sounding voice).

Simon did say something about the twist having something to do with the name of the show - implying that the judges would be having a say.
Maybe the twist is that only the 3 AMERICAN judges will get a say Oh, and #2 going home, Lil? Honestly, I'm not sure.

Adam could use some proactive. I'm just sayin. All those close-ups coupled with the caked on a make-up... Although I think he is the clear front runner at this point.

I loved Lil Rounds and Danny Gokey. Several of the others are good as well. Rockin Robin didn't rock well at all. And while I think Anoop is a cute guy, his performance was seriously lacking. Jasmine is really cute and very classy for such a young girl.

I thought 9 out of the 13 performances last night were excellent- but what do I know. I especially loved Danny, Allison, Adam, Matt and Alexis. So disappointed in Anoop Coudn't even understand Jorge.
Bottom four: Anoop, Jorge, Jasmine, and Megan Go home: all four of them I agree, pjs. I was actually impressed with the vocals of most last night. Many times in the past there were a lot fewer good performances. I also agree with your choice of the bottom four - they should all go home. I really was bothered by their performances - way too karaoke and wooden. Anoope is just trying to get by on his appeal and it is not working!!

I'm not disappointed with the ones that went home at all.
The new twist of the judges having one "save" may be interesting. There is always at least one, though, that they adore and I don't like, and I'm always looking forward to the week when that person finally gets the boot. Now that will undoubtedly be the person who gets saved, ruining all my fun!

It will be interesting to see if it reduces the voting numbers.

Yeah, it is like, America doesn't like you and neither do we. And how hard has it got to be to sing one more time after knowing that you have been voted off?
I was a little suprised to see Jorge go, I really thought he would carrie the Puerto Rico vote. I really also think he sings pretty good.

It's country night with Randy Travis as the mentor. Lil (or "Little" as Simon called her...) could've picked a better song, but Adam's was over the top and IMHO - terrible. I loved Randy's take: "Imagine a group like Nine Inch Nails doing Country - that's what this was!"
The boy can sing, but I was picturing him as the Phantom of the Opera - with his range, and dramatic skills, he's perfect. But the arrangement of Ring of Fire (sitar, Egyptian-sounding) was blecch.
