Almost finished with JD Robb's Promises in Death. Then I'll start Loitering With Intent by Stuart Woods or Fatally Flaky by Diane Mott Davidson.

I finished JR Ward's 'Lover Avenged' yesterday. Good book - it definitely made up for the last one!

Picked up my copy of the new Charlaine Harris book "Dead and Gone" at lunch today. Can't wait to see what new adventures Sookie faces!

I'm over half way through the first book. I'm not so sure about this series yet.

I bought the boxed set of books 1-7. If you can hold out a bit (or read something else) I can send you these and you can save your $.
I hope I get into them a little more as I get farther in. Becca's not given me a bad recommendation yet.

(Bill does not even compare to Kisten.) Just hang in there, Jen - they are kind of slow to get going. Remember how Dead Witch Walking was mostly back-story and set-up? These are kind of the same way. When my friend got me to start reading them, I almost quit in the middle of the first one. She gave me the "No, you have to keep going! They get really good!" pep talk and I'm glad I listened, but it took me until nearly the end of #2 to really get into them. Now, having said all that: no, Bill does not compare to Kisten. Not even in the same league. And I will admit that these are somewhat......tamer? Is that a word?........than most of the other paranormal books that I read/recommend. They're fluff, but they're fun fluff once the storyline gets going.

I just finished James Patterson's "8th something". I can't rmemeber what. Its one of the Women's Murder Club series. It was pretty good. Better than the last one I read of his in the Alex Cross series.

I just finished A Dance With The Devil by Barbara Bentley. It's her story about her 14 year marriage to a (later) certified psychopath and how he manipulated her, conned her, stole from her, mentally abused her, and tried to kill her. She later tried to get the divorce laws changed in CA. I didn't care for her style of writing, but it was a compelling story and a quick read.
