I read "Old Man and the Sea" a couple weeks ago. Good story! 129 pages of goodness! It's a quick read.

Are there any newer Reacher books? I'd read all of those up until about a year ago. Anything newer?

Excellent series of books! Love these! The new one (Echo in the Bone? I think?) will be out in the fall - late September, it looks like.

Yep. Went to Walmart at lunch Tuesday and bought it. Read it Tuesday night (didn't take long, it's only about 300 pages). Stephanie is BACK! It was soooooooooooooo much better than 14. The slapstick is back, Ranger is back....the funny is BACK!

The slapstick is back, Ranger is back....the funny is BACK! I might have to actually breakdown and buy this book now. It isn't supposed to be out in Amazon's Kindle format for weeks and I don't think I can wait. I love Stephanie and Ranger but Lulu and Grandma Mazur can make a book can't they?

Halfway through. I kind of feel like this one, at least in the first half, is a bit raunchier than the rest? Or maybe I'm misremembering the others, haven't read them in a while. Just sort of stronger language than I am thinking I am used to for the Stephanie books.

My copy came in the mail today. i can't wait to start. Lula is my favorite character of all. Have you listened to the audit versions of any of her books? We listen to them in the car and my husband sometimes has trouble keeping the car on the road because he is laughing so hard. its really funny when you hear them all talk.

Just sort of stronger language than I am thinking I am used to for the Stephanie books. See, I think the 'raunch' is part of what's been missing the last couple of books. Stephanie and Lula are notorious potty mouths (or at least were for the first 10 or 12 installments) and the campy, slapstick humor is what (to me) made this series. Both of those things were missing from 13 to a degree and 14 entirely. I would go into the few faults I found with this one, but don't want to spoil it so will wait until the usual suspects have finished it first. *Then* we can have a spoiler thread.

Oooooh! Didn't know about the audio version! Look out BAM! Love all of the characters.
I'm reading Moon Pies and Movie Stars - not a heavy reader - a kind of back in the day book in the sixties. It's kind of cute.
