How are banks in PA handling this issue>

How do lenders handle items such as force placed Hazard and Flood Insurance premiums or property taxes that are paid on the customers behalf but not collected from the customer? Are they added to the outstanding balance of the loan or as a fee or what?

We add it to the loan balance if it is not collected.

We add the premium and fees to the loan principle balance and send a letter notifying the customer this action was taken. If they call in and question this, we let them know they can bring in the money at any time and apply it as a principle payment to reduce the principle balance by that amount to save interest.
