The subject conf. is scheduled for march 14-18 in New Orleans. (Found the info on FRB San Frans site).

I am looking for as much indepth CRA training as I can find. This looks like it has potential, but.....

has anyone ever attended the subject conf? there was one in 2008

I'm in the Northeast so I am concerned about the potential for a huge emphasis on West Coast area..

These are excellent conferences. I am planning to attend as I have in the past. It is not geographic specific - it is just that FRB San Fran started it. All regulators do attend and the sessions are very good.

I was at the 2008 conference and it was great. The sessions were very informative. I wish I had a clone however, there were a lot of sessions presented concurrently that I would have liked to been at.

I understand your concern with the West Coast Emphasis. At the 2008 conference there were a lot of attendees and presenters from across the country and don't feel that it was overly West Coast focused. I think considering the locale of next year's conference, that shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'd highly recommend going, especially while it's so much closer to you this time.

I won't be there this time around. Our budget for travel has been cut drastically. Keep me filled in!!

The registration is not open yet...they will post on the site and send out emails to those who have signed up for info in "December 2009"...so it should be soon. Maybe New Year's Eve!

I have attended three (Hollywood, Las Vegas & the last one in San Fransisco over 6 years) and I actually wished they had them every year. They seem well attended, I have always had positive feelings about them and have never heard anything negative from any general attendees.

This looks like a good conference, but due to budget constraints, we are not likely to be able to attend. Does anyone know of any other good CRA "in depth" training for relatively new CRA officers? Is this conference great enough that we should really try to get it pushed through?
