Am I just dreaming, or did I actually read somewhere that loans to preserve historic buildings that are on the National Historic Society's Registration List count as community development loans?
You should review this OCC article:
http://www.occ.treas.gov/Cdd/HTC_Fact%20Sheet_Revised_April%202009.pdfThe historic building CAN provide CRA credit if it can be shown to "contribute to the stabilization or revitalization of historic communities, many of which are located in LMI geographies, designated disaster areas, or designated distressed or underserved non-metropolitan middle-income geographies".
