Question for Jack Henry users who are also CRA reporters. Is there anywhere in JHA/Silverlake to enter the CRA address? The mailing address and the mortgage property address are not always "where the money goes" for CRA reporting purposes. If we have an outside vender geo-code or check our geo-codes we need to be able to have the CRA address on the system somewhere and, so far, haven't been able to find a place for it. Thanks.

I haven't seen a place for an "address" but we input the MSA, State, County, and Census Tracts at the loan level to correspond to the CRA "address".

We use the IRS Address. Until the last release, this was problematic however, because IRS Address only had one line (no City ST Zip fields). That is better this year, however the biggest problem remains, you can't see IRS Address on any inquiry screen. We're voting for it in the next release.

We were having that problem too. We had talked about adding it into the message screen but it wouldn't pull into a query from there. It is definately a problem for us because we have a lot of customers that live in small rural towns without street addresses or even rural route addresses. They just all use a p.o. box so we get directions and we can atleast store those in messages and it will help me when I scrub.

We also input Census data upon loan input. Can you give me an example where the mortgage property address wouldn't be "where the money goes"?

We are new reporters this year and I have been struggling with exactly the same issue. I located a set of address fields that no one was using in the Credit Bureau Additional Info section. It is labeled for Employer Address but no one was using it so I claimed it for CRA use. These fields can be added to the Platform system if you use it. (We have JHA 20/20, not Silverlake.)

I was observing different types of loan set-up so I could write a procedure for the input people and came up with one glitch. Some of our loans are not reported to a credit bureau so that screen is not available to the Platform-users. They would have to go back in and add the address using file maintenance the next day. Since I would prefer not to make the procedure that complex, I am looking for other options.

While we are on the subject, I found a field labeled CRA Location in Jack Henry but have never been able to figure out what anyone uses it for. Any ideas? It is only a few characters long.

One example is a home improvement loan on a vacation home that is secured by the primary residence. Another example could be a business loan used to improve one rental property that is secured by a different rental property owned by the borrower.
