So, as a gift for myself I bought a new motorcycle. I got a 2010 Honda Fury and I absolutely love it. It's a mix between a crusier and a chopper, you can see them on the Honda website. Anyway, I wanted it to be louder so I drilled out the baffels. Has anyone ever done something like this?

Cool! Enjoy! But I have to give a big dislike to a "louder" motorcycle! I think they're noisy enough as it is! LOL There is nothing like an annoyingly loud motorcycle going by your house at 2am and waking your kid up! ::shakes fist::

(I could say j/k, but I'm not really... but I'm not really serious about this reason, either, so freak!) I'd rather hear a loud motorcycle than a stinkin loud import car. I hate the bumblebee/weedeater sound.

LMAO Too late for that! I don't dislike motorcycles at all, I like them, I just get annoyed at the 2am drive-by And you're right, loud cars are just as annoying.

Pulling people out of the ditc...

the reason you want a motorcycle loud is to warn the stupid drivers in cars that you are there...
quiet motorcycles are in significantly more wrecks than noisy ones...

Happy makes a good point, I've heard that argument from Harley owners before.

I hope you are protecting your ears, Spivol. Between the motorcycle and the band, you better be, or you could be deaf by the time you're 50.

Way, way south.

Spivol, I wouldn't go for removing the baffles. That's pretty old school, and your bike isn't.
You need to get a performance exhaust set up, a K & N filter, and then have your fuel injection remapped to take into account the changes you've made.
It will sounds better and run far better than just "rube-ing" it up by simply removing the baffles.
