Husband and wife cash a US Treas. check (made out to H & W)for $12,000 and leave the bank. Same day, husband comes in and cashes another check (made out to him only) for $1200 by himself. The CTR needs to be for multiple persons due to the first transaction but how do I deal with the second check as it was not on Ws behalf? Can I aggregate it with the first?

Not only can you aggregate it, but you must because you have knowledge of the facts. List hubby in Section A o n the front, and check "conducted on own behalf" in Section B. List wife in Section A on the reverse. Check multiple persons and multiple transactions in item 1 on the front.

All of that (except for the multiple transaction check mark in item 1) would be needed just for the first transaction. Increase the dollar amount in item 27 to include the two checks.
