Need some claification regarding loans to insiders that exceed what the insider could get at his/her own bank? Anything regarding compliance in this area would be helpful.

Reg O does not apply to insiders of financial institutions that are not affiliated with the lending institution.

I'm not aware of any other restrictions unless it may be a state law restriction.

How about if the insider takes a loan at a corresponding bank and exceeds the amount allowable at their bank?

Loans from the correspondent bank are not covered under Reg O.

The only concern you may have is loans you make to the insider of correspondent banks.
