Do most banks require the customer to provide two forms of ID or just a driver's license/gov't issued photo ID?

Ok, thanks. I know that some really big banks apparently only require one but we've always required two.

One is fine if accompanied by a good form of non-documentary identification. Two - IMHO is overkill. Of course some people think that a credit card or social security card is primary ID also

And of course - whether 1 or 2, the info on the ID presented should match what you were told was the name and address.

Ok, thanks. I know Fincen "encourages" you to obtain more than a single document due to the availability of counterfeit documents so that's probably why many banks do ask for two.

We (small community bank) require one (primary) and a secondary (can be and most of the time is a non documentary id)
