Is there any assistance or guidance regarding loan modification or proposed rules on servicing? With the current foreclosure crisis reaching a fever pitch, I would like to think that there are resources and reference materials avaialable. I've posted on 2 occasions asking for assistance and have not received any guidance. If anyone could share any information or direct me to appropriate source I would be eternally grateful.

The FRB issued a proposed rule on 9/24/10 that includes possible changes to when TIL disclosures would be needed on certain types of modifications. They are looking to change the standard for "refinancing." http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-20667.pdf This is a 250 page document.
