This year, we are having a vegetarian couple over for Thanksgiving. I've made vegan Italian sausage, vegan taco "meat" and soyrizo for this couple, and they want to see what I can do for this holiday. Initially, I thought I'd make pumpkin sage ravioli with a balsamic vinegar reduction and baked acorn squash stuffed with wild rice. But this doesn't seem filling enough. If anyone has any experience in making a vegetarian-friendly Thanksgiving, please help with suggestions.
Thanks! just shove a turkey leg in thier pie hole and tell them to deal with it

I have to admit, there have been times when I have been tempted to use butter in something that I make when they are at our house. That old devil just keeps tempting and tempting LOL.

Pooh, you're welcome. BTW, I love butter!! So, slight change of plans. It seems this is the year of break ups so we're hosting all us recently singled friends and we'll be having about 8 joining us. Some are vegetarians, some are not. So, I'll be brining a turkey in addition to offering meatless options. Although, I thought of completely bastardizing the entire day by having a make-your-own pasta bar.

Some vegans do eat hone QM. My vegan does not She is vegan in a pretty strict sense of the word (but she still uses her non-vegan leather accessories that she had prior to her veganism )

They are just messed up in the head. They need to be set down and forced to eat a BK double whopper, a KFC double down and a Long John Siver Seafood sampler. And made to love it. That is probably the most offensive thing I had ever read from a BOLer. I keep Kosher, and I have several vegan and vegetarian friends. Needless to say, parties are interesting food wise. However, there are alot of wonderful vegan cookbooks out there- you could probably even check one out of the local library. There are also alot of great websites and forums for vegan and vegetarian recipes- I know there's one called the PPK, and my friend has her own blog and zine called Don't Eat Off the Sidewalk. There are a ton of resources out there, you just have to look- Oh, and Thai food always works. They cook everything in oil and you can subsitute tofu for any meat.

I'm sure if you search AG's posts you can find something more offensive.

I did not say that. However, that does not make your statement any less true!
