Somewhere in the desert!
Can anyone tell me if we are supposed to use the exact "score compares to consumers" chart or are we suppose come up with our own %'s based on ??? consumer data.

I am leaning toward the idea that we are suppose to use it as is. Just not sure.

Also, anyone wanna chime in on the fact that it stops at a 600 score? What happened to 850?

The data will be different depending on which consumer reporting agency's scoring system you use. It must show how consumers nationwide rank on that particular scoring system. But, of course, you can avoid the bar graph altogether if you use the "Your credit score ranks higher than ___ percent of US consumers" option instead of the bar graph. Either way, you need to get the information from your consumer reporting agency.

Just curious, if using the wording "Your credit score ranks higher than ___ percent of US consumers" where are you getting this %?

Check with your credit bureau supplier.

We use Equifax and the % prints out on the report.

We use Microbuilt. Is anyone else using them? When we print the info given by them it gives us the graph so what % are we to get off the graph? We are using the credit score disclosure provided in our Arta Lending software and it uses the statement with % instead of the graph so we have to populate the % ourselves but are not sure exactly where to get the %.

If you are reusing a credit report (Equifax) that was printed before the % was added, what % are you entering on the form? Are you running a new credit report just to get the percentage?

If you are re-using a credit report for a new request, you don't have a permissible purpose to use that credit report, thus, you should be pulling a new report for a new request.
