What resources do you all have for record retention? I have the list from the state law books but do you have anything more?

That's what I've used for years when regulators/auditors ask for our record retention procedures. www.kirchman.com also has a record retention guide in it's compliance manual. (At least it used to, I haven't checked lately.) It was much more detailed than the state of TN provides.

I agree with OnTheEdge. The Kirchman record retention table is a valuable aid, and it is still available in the manual and on their web site.

Another resource is Tennessee Bank's Guide to Record Retention by Carolyn Jones. We obtained this resource from Financial Records Consultants in Nashville.
