More prayers needed

Sitting on the dock of the bay

Everyone - I am fairly new to the BOL threads & may not have had any interaction with a lot of you- but I have a need for prayer for my family. My sister (turned 58 years old on Wed) is in end stage COPD. She has been sent home with HOSPICE & has made her doctors aware that she does not wish to be resucitated when she goes into either respiratory or cardiac arrest. Please pray for her & my family as we go through this struggle. Even though I know her last breathe on this earth will be a struggle, God will make her next one easy, it is still hard to deal with the impending loss. Please pray for her comfort & peace.

Just to let everyone know. God has given us the opportunity to spend some wonderful time with my sister yesterday. We were actually able to get her out to the beach & ride her down the beach on a golf cart. She enjoyed so much being out in the fresh air she wanted to "just keep riding". Of course we kept her covered with a blanket & kept her coat & hat on, but she ate a good lunch yesterday (for her) & seemed to enjoy the day. She was worn out when she went home, but it was a good worn out. Thank you all for your prayers & please continue to keep her in your prayers. The struggle is not over, but we had a very good day.

sounds like a wonderful day. nice to have a day that you can all enjoy - forgetting about any disease or pain for a little bit.
prayers continue Seemed so good to see her smile. She so enjoyed being out. Thankful that God allowed us this day to remember.

Hoping my sister will be able to make it to my home for Christmas dinner this weekend. She wants to come, but she just came out of the hospice house. She is very depressed, as should be expected, and her kidneys are starting to shut down. Had to put in a catheter. Please keep her in your prayers. I want her to have a good time & be able to enjoy the day. Thanks to you all for your continued prayers & support. Wishing you all a very safe, happy, and Merry CHRISTMAS!!!
