I remember traveling and the "s" word was in the forecast in the south. People freaked out. The next day, schools were closed. It's didn't even "s---" enough to cover the roads.

It has been snowing here all morning..

It was the big 17 degrees here when I left for the fun house this morning...

Nearly 50 today... hardly feels like December in NE Illinois.

Well I'm at work, dangit. But we had a pretty snowstorm, right after it rained, then the streets turned into an iceskating rink, that was fun, so we had delayed reporting, and now it's sunny and the roads are filled with running water!

There were a lot of accidents last night though, 4 fatalities in just one crash.

I talked to a friend that lives in Oklahoma, but clser to Clayton NM last night. Heavy snow, 5-6 foot, 50MPH plus winds and visibility was 1-2 feet! They new there were lots of people stranded, but nothing could be done. Haven't heard from him today, but it was ugly last night!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas! Bring on the snow - please.

bb - I can't imagine 5 or 6 feet of snow and 50 mph winds. That sounds awful. Prayers for your friend and everyone who is experiencing this awful storm.

61 degrees and rainy here this morning. I'm in Kentucky - it should be colder than this.

High 30s and 40s this week and weekend... looks like a dry and sunny Christmas.

Had traces of snow yesterday afternoon, everybody got all giddy, ignoring the fact that it was still 33-34 and it wasn't going to give them the white Christmas they so desire. I couldn't care less if I saw no snow this year, but I guess it's been 9 years since we've had a "green" Christmas. Usually we have snow close to Thanksgiving, but we've had nothing consequential enough to stick yet.

30 now, should pan out to be a fairly nice day if the sun shines at all!

The lake effect snow has finally arrived. We are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow throught tomorrow night. North of us near Lake Erie is supposed to get up to 2 feet. But the good news is that this is the first significant snow fall this season.

Cold (20s) and really strong winds here in NE Illinois. Almost got blown over last night while walking the dogs.

Bikini weather at my hosue today. Supposed to be in the 80's until Friday. Beaches only in the low 70s though.

Same here. I was cooking our New Year's meal yesterday and the windows were open.
It was 82 degrees at the time and I had to go change into shorts, t-shirt and flip-flips!
Ugh! Too hot for January 1st!

Supposed to get down to 28 this morning and 20 tomorrow morning. Then this weekend when I'm doing a frontier festival and wearing long skirts/shirts, it's supposed to get up into the upper 60s or lower 70s. The public will love it, but the participants will be burning up. I'm glad my day to cook over the open campfire will be Friday before it gets so hot!

18 here with a high of 30-32. Friday's high is supposed to be 61. Go figure. Weirdest weather I can remember.

Phone says it's 7 out right now, not a plesant morning to be out scraping the windows in shorts, but makes you work real fast!

Have had hurricane-force winds the past few days, but actually had our first "snow" in the form of some minor flurries on Sunday, just enough to stick on the edges of the sidewalks, nothing serious. By now, we should be under 18" or so, can't say that I mind seeing the grass though

same here... and back up to 40ish by the end of the week... I am kinda liking the new winter!

Gonna be in the 80s at my house all week until FRiday. Wish I had mroe days off to enjoy it since it's dark by the time I get home
