Excedrin for Migraine is the miracle drug in my house. I'm sure it would help for work-outs, but we try to only use it when needed.
Still plugging along with the push-ups. Shoulders and elbows are holding-up well so far. I got some resistance bands for Christmas and have liked them so far.

TOday was Zumba at the gym at 5:45am. Easy workout but very very sweaty I think I would do this every now and then, just for something different! It's fun and you are right, you sweat! Its quite enjoyable to shake what yo mama gave ya. Just give yourself time with it, takes about 2 or 3 classes before you can really get the routines and understand the moves. Its like the advice I give for people interested in snowboarding...if you try, make sure you try it twice. The first time always sucks but the second time is ALWAYS significantly better. And I do mean significantly. I've done one class and it was a hoot! If the second one is more fun than that, somebody will make me leave! This could very well happen

We had a catered breakfast this morning, by one of our vendors. I was extremely controlled and just had some of the eggs and fruit, ignored all the delicious bagels and muffins, though I really wanted some.
Oddly, I feel funny now...not decided if I'm dying of something or what...kind of feels like when you're famished, but I'm sure that's not the case. Those jerks may have poisoned me!

Sounds a bit like a glycemic low. A carb and sugar combo may help....that is assuming that you dont have something simple like bubonic plague.

He either has an issue with coke, or has been very messy while scarfing powdered sugar donuts. Either way, you should share!
I'm all better now, so I don't think it's the plague. I wondered if the OJ served was some of the bad stuff that the FDA missed, but it appears to not have been the case.
I have to decide if I'm going to brave the weather tonight and get a pair of shoes all soggy in order to get my final few miles in, or if I'm going to stay here and use the treadmill like a reasonable person...

I wussed out last night and took the mill. I'm getting wimpy, 40-45 MPH winds just wear me out! Well, half the time anyway!

There is a fresh layer of snow on the ground here in northern Kentucky and I think I am going to revert to my childhood days and run a muck in the snow tonight. At least for the first few miles. I will probably finish on the tredmill though.

I had to break up my 11 (9+2) yesterday, we'll see how I do today. Did yoga at lunch time, and we did quite a few planks today, so I'm calling it good there.

100 Burpees! That'll do it! I was thinking about making 1/2 my pushups Burpees but then I came back to reality.

Describe "burpees" for this old guy. Start from a standing position. 1. Squat 2. Put your hands on the floor 3. Shoot your feet back (you're now in the top position of a push-up) 4. Do a push up. (you knew that was coming, right?) 5. At the top of the movement, jump your feet back under you. (bottom of a squat position). 6. Stand up. Or.... a squat thrust with a push-up (sort of)

Are you doing pushups and planks in the snow? I did them on the stability ball with the heater blowing on me. I have marathon training tomorrow morning and the tempature at 7am is supposed to be 18*. Any tips on what I should wear to run in?

Any tips on what I should wear to run in? Oh layer it girl! Cover the head, ears and hands for sure! I have one heavier pair of Underarmor running pants/tights that are warm and that wick, then on top I have a base layer, midlayer and and slighly heavier outer layer. Try to warm and stretch and warm up inside before you put on your outer layers. Are you running with someone? If so, keep any eye on each others faces for signs of srost bite! Ask Jen, she's a marathoner and runs in the cold a lot!

Wear some form of thermal compression such as Under Armor with another looser layer overtop I would wear thermal running tights and a thermal compression shirt with running pants and a fleece top. Don't forget gloves and a hat or earband. Some sort of non-cotton socks will be important too. Cotton in cold weather kills, it does not wick moisture away from your skin and will chill you down very quickly. Running in cold weather can be fun if the conditions are right and you are prepared. Cold air in your lungs can take a toll if you aren't used to it.

Are you doing pushups and planks in the snow? Someone told me that I did a 20 minute plank in the snow when I was a kid. At least that's what it looked like. Turned out that I had crashed my sled and was frozen. But my core felt good once I thawed out
