I am trying to submit my HMDA data - I am receiving an error message "Invalid HMDA Data Record Length, Found Record length of 314, Expecting Record Length of 380" Does anyone know what this means and how to correct it?

It means you've already downloaded your 2004 hmda entry program and the encryption program updated and is now looking for a 2004 field length.

I had the same issue Friday. I downloaded the 2003 program again to a different PC, then exported the data and imported into the new PC. The new try worked fine.

There's probably an easier way, but I didn't want to wait 2 days for a response from HMDA helpline.

How do you export the info - to a file or a disk???

And did you just download the 2003 program from the FFIEC website?

Where the heart is
I exported the data to a file, and then used the FFIEC encryption software to encrypt the file so it could be submitted by e-mail.

As for where to get the software, I got the CD Rom in the mail from the Federal Reserve.

Thank you both!!! As it turns out our IT guy had downloaded the 2004 instead of 2003 as you said. We downloaded the correct version, imported the data, and submitted without a problem!

Thanks so much!!!
