15, 10 and 8 this morning. I took my monthly update pics to be displayed at year's end. I'm still a blob, but dangit I feel better. It's ALL about feeling good!!! Excercise to feel good and for your health!!! Don't worry the rewards (your awesome body) will come!! This is not a brag but a fact: I started walking, could barely make it around the block and I kept it up because it made me feel good and then went on to running, cycling, TRX and whatever else holds my interest for the moment. Didn't care if I lost an ounce. Somehow or another, I ended up losing 37 pounds. My point is, I didn't really focus on the weight loss. I focused on the exercise (because it made me feel good, I'm such a junkie) and trying to eat healthier. It didn't matter how long it took because I wasn't rushing it and didn't obsess over it. What I ended up with was a happy coincidence.

Did mine in one set this morning, the last few were rough, but I can still make it happen for now! Usually it's broken up into sets during my regular stuff, but I'm trying to do my challenge set in addition to the rest of it. Early meeting meant earlier than usual workout, so some was abbreviated, but I got the push-ups at least!

Honestly, I started working out because I don't want to diet. It was as simple as that. I wanted to be able to enjoy things like beer, brownies, cookies, chips, and french fries on occasion...
And now I really enjoy it! It's part of my routine and I'm committed. I'm all about moderation and balancing the healthy with the not-so-healthy.

Yes, she is indeed! I think we need a pushup flashmob!! A small group, in formation, march into a public space (wherevever), in cadence, spread out (evenly, in cadence) hit the ground and do ???? (20?), Pop up, reform, march out!

How the heck did I miss this thread until now? I started it because I have no upper body strength and no real upper body muscle from too many years in ballet and jazz. The fact that I could pop out 33 today, even using the counter, is a bloody miracle. Getting an awesome pink Guns'n Poodles shirt to wear to Zumba and the gym was just a side bonus. Winning a beer bet with Jen? Priceless!

I've been following this thread since it started and you guys are all very motivational! I didn't start at the beginning of the year but am committed to starting now and just catching up. My main goal was to stop smoking and I haven't had one since the beginning of the year!!! I hope I can say that in December too! It's not easy but I'm trying my best to stick to it! Now the exercising thing is my next challenge. I'm hoping if I start out with the pushups that will lead into more. I want to start running so hopefully I can get motivated to start doing that as well!!
Thanks for keeping this thread going because I love to hear everyone's accomplishments!! That jut kicks booty CG! Keep it up!

There has to be a way to do this!!! 25 people in ranks (all dressed in steetclothes and looking completely different) March in in cadence Halt on command and hit the floor (ok wear gloves if ya want) 20 pushups, in cadence with each other Pop up on command March out in ranks This would be great!!!! Where's Hawkii? She's good at flashmobs!

Shhhh! Push-up monkey has bad form. I had one of a guy doing pushups with his hands and feet all on top of the mouth of glass bottles, but it was too large and uncooperative, so I gave up on it. It was much better/more funny!

You folks and all your many and varied accomplishments are so inspirational and keeping me motivated - thank you! I am keeping up with the pushups, in several sets through the day. I lost a couple of pounds in the past 10 days since I last weighed in. And I'm making smarter food choices. I really think I feel better physically, and I know I feel more confident and in control of myself. A friend said I'm smiling more. Don't forget to wear red tomorrow for the American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day! Heart disease kills more women annually than all forms of cancer combined. Be kind to your heart!
