We received a State of Wisconsin tax levy against one of our customers; however, we are a Minnesota bank and have no branches in any other states. The only law cited on the levy notice is a Wisconsin statute. Are we obligated to hold funds or respond to this?

You'll need to look to the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgement Act for an answer. It appears that if an entity files a judgement in its own state, the judgement would follow the customer to another state if that state adopted the above Act (which Minnesota has). I would suggest a conversation with your legal counsel though, just to be on the safe side.
