Nice! Always exciting, and 30% is nothing to sneeze at either.
I looked at some five-fingers over the weekend, as a potential Christmas idea...don't think that'll work out though.

I felt bad spending money on me right now but I couldn't poass up the price. And besides if my shoes are worn out and I can't run at all, my family will suffer.  So it's actually a gift to them.

I felt bad spending money on me right now but I couldn't poass up the price. And besides if my shoes are worn out and I can't run at all, my family will suffer. So it's actually a gift to them. Eggzaktly!! Love Kayano's! But I have been pretty happy with my GT1000's too. Matt I have many pairs of 5 fingers. I really like them, but I dont run much in them except on trails. I have used them some for climbing. I have found the models that lace up to be my favorites. If you want to go a cheaper route just to try the concept, buy some skeletoes instead. I have some of them as well and they are fine.

I'm too practical of a person and can't really justify asking for something that I'm not sure I'll like/use. Trail options around here are fairly limited, and I don't see myself using them on sidewalks at all! I could see them for mud races, but I've heard mixed reviews on their effectiveness.
Plus, I know they'll end up going to a store here and paying twice what I could get them for by buying online, and that's just a terrible waste.

Skeletoes can be had for about $35. I actually like mine a lot. I did a run up Mount Scott in them and they worked well. Scott has no trails so it was bouldering, running, bushwacking, etc.
Like I said, its a cheap way to explore the concept.
