I know that in the CRA Q&A under section .12(j) A3 it lists assisting in fund raising as an example of a community development service. I believe this is refering to the assistance of an individual, but does anyone know if the provision of bank facilities (after bank hours)to host a fundraising event would count for CRA credit of some kind, investment, service?

Before you try to count the fundraising for CRA, you need to gather “proof” that the $ will be used for low- to moderate-income (LMI) areas or people. For example, if the fundraising is for the American Cancer Society, etc., or even for the family with tremendous medical bills… if you can’t link to LMI very unlikely you will get any CRA points.
