My CO has been asked to give a presentation on elder abuse and how banks can help at our state banking conference. Of course, this means that I have to put together the presentation. Does anyone have any good resources or powerpoints they would be willing to share? Any help would be appreciated.

Where are you located? Some states have (what Illinois calls) a Department on Aging. They would be able to provide you with resources on Elder Abuse. That is the first place I would look.

The ABA has an online elder financial abuse course they just created for frontline personnel. http://www.aba.com/eLearning/EL_RCElderFinAbuse.htm If your bank is an ABA member, its included free as part of their Frontline Compliance training. If you are not an ABA member you can purchase the course, perhaps you can get some ideas for your CO's presentation.

Be careful of UDAAP. You will be in hot water once the regulators find out you are helping to abuse the elderly. smile

Do some "Google" searches using key terms. There is a ton of free information out there including some online videos. Research your bank's responsbility/ability to report under state law.
