You're gonan have some enviable calves running right....right? Probably why the calves hurt like mad this morning. Very tempted to have them massaged later today. . . . as long as they give me something to bite down on to prevent screaming and tie my hands to my side to prevent hitting.

At one time. . . . Then I got married and had kids. They have to leave the house at some point! They do. And then I usually use that time to declutter toys and take a nap. Took the weekend off from any exercise - my back and calves have been pretty angry. Back to the gym tonight and then out for a movie with the hubby.

Couldn't get up to run this morning. Stayed up too late. Mega-disappointed. Day isn't over yet You can always work something in later on! And if you're that full of caffeine, you can put your Flash suit on and "Zooooom!"

Happy Monday and Day 100!! I am going to give this a shot today. I will wait till this afternoon, when (theoretically) I am at my peak! Going for the 100 in a single set. That should also give me enought time to take a lot pain killers, caffeine, steroids, etc.

I was thinking of combining my run tonight and then just doing the kettlebell stuff for tomorrow morning too. The only thing is, if I'm already this tired now... how tired will I be after work?? You'll be wide awake by then! Attack the day with a positive attitude My shoulders and lower calves (whatever muscles are right around your achilles) are fried from Saturday still, not usually this sore on a Monday, but it's all good!

My shoulders and lower calves (whatever muscles are right around your achilles) are fried from Saturday still, not usually this sore on a Monday, but it's all good! Don't forget to do your stretchy-stretches.

He's actually right Mani! You should be stronger about the time you get off. So tear it up girl! Matt, that either the gastroc or the soleus (Gastrocnemius is the big part of the calf soleus is the smaller underlying muscle near the Achilles). Be carefull with that and stretch it carefully and well a tear in either is really painful and can put you out of action for weeks. Great job this weekend BTW.

It's always been an area of soreness for me, and I do tend to stretch them a lot as a result, so hopefully it'll be fine. Sitting around a lot yesterday didn't help me, every time I got around to standing up, I was awful stiff! Thanks, I felt pretty good about it by the end. After we did the 5k, my cohort drove through Hardee's and I was tempted to just shovel a giant pile of ick into my mouth at that point, but refrained and made him drop me off at work to do the rest of my workout. I was doing great until I realized that on my walk home I was going to have to carry the backpack! I don't think it's something I'll do very often, it wasn't exactly comfortable and really made the run feel more like a shuffle, but it sure felt good to complete it!

Congrats Matt! ONE HUNDRED PUSHUPS TODAY... wow! I have done 35/100 so far. It's lovely out today, so I think I'll go for a walk at lunchtime and maybe sneak in another 20 pushups, then to the gym tonight to do the rest of the pushups, my 100 crunches, and an hour on the treadmill/elliptical.
