I am having trouble adding our assessment area to the FFIEC software. Does anybody else use the software and can provide some guidance? Has anything changed in the addition from last year? - doesn't appear to be. I am using new tracts. Keep getting an error message. Please help! I have been trying and trying! Thanks!

There have been some census tract changes for 2012. Have you updated all tracts to the new numbers?

I have. I tried just one county where all the census tracts are included (without having to add the actual tracts) and it still did not work.

I just randomly picked some states and counties and new tracts and so far haven't had a problem. What state/county are you trying to add? I'll try it in my download.

Pennsylvania (42) - try all of Mifflin (087)and Juniata (067) Counties. I am having IT look at it today. I am training somebody else how to input and we downloaded on a shared drive this year for the first time. Not sure if that may be causing a problem. Thanks for at least trying on yours to help me determine it isn't the software so to speak. If you can try these two entire counties and let me know, that would be great!

I was able to add these without any problem. I even tried just adding the new tracts for Juniata (702.01 and 702.02) rather than the entire county and was able to do so.

Have you seen this note:

Note: The software should be installed locally on a hard disk; it is NOT network compatible.

What FFIEC software are you referring to? I was just going to ask the question of a good software program to keep up with census tracts and lending patterns in and outside of our assessment area. ??? Any help>

Thank you for all your help. If you had no problems, I think that may be the issue.

The FFIEC software is the free software that can be downloaded from their website.
