I am sorry, I posted this on the wrong forum. I can't delete it out of here either. It is now in Deposits and Payments
We have a situation where a personal account was closed and all monies were put into an account set up for a revocable trust. The trustee has a POA. The POA would like to continue to write checks off the Trust account that she used to be able to write when it was a personal account. The POA papers say this: "I specifically give my Agent the power to transfer any assets to any existing revocable trust that may have been set up by me."
To me that says that the power of attorney can transfer things into the trust accoun but it does not say that she can write checks to take money out of this account.
Am I understanding that correctly?
Thanks!
