For a business individual, we have to use information from a personal tax return (Form 1040) to determine gross annual revenue, right? I'm not sure everyone in our organization is calculating this correctly for CRA reporting.

Thanks.

It depends. If they are a sole proprietor, you can accept their personal - Schedule C (P&L).

A sole proprietor's gross revenue, may be found on Schedule C, Schedule E, or Schedule F, depending on the type of business. Also, the sole owner of an LLC may elect to report gross receipts, rents, or sales on the appropriate Form 1040 schedule.
