Lets say we bankrolled a project for housing in a low income area. Money funded for land purchase, various state and local entities involved so project was truly affordable housing. Nightmares ensued. Money advanced but the actual building was never built. Always included it for CRA as the original intent was clearly defined. However, can this project be rejected as well as the building was never completed?

Not at the point in time when the project was viable and your bank presumably got CRA lending credit in the past.

Or have you not presented this for examiner review?

Did your bank end up with the dirt? Maybe you could do something innovative with the property.

I agree re if you obtained prior credit. That will not be revoked.

If this is the first time, it likely will not be counted as no one benefited.

I agree that if the bank is holding any property, see what can be done with it that might be used for community development benefit.

We got credit in the past. As of now, however, nobody benefitted and probably will not.I included it but probably should not have at thispoint.
