Consumer loan application is received. Consumer report is obtained that contains a credit score. Exception notice is timely provided. Application is subsequently denied. Reason for the denial (LTV) has nothing to do with the consumer report. Should the credit score be shown on the Reg. B AAN? If not, is there any harm in including it?

Thanks!

No

Yes, you are providing false information to the consumer. You are telling them that their credit report contributed to the decision and they therefor have certain rights under the FCRA.

I have seen this cited in exams by the regulators.
