I'm a little bummed. I'm assuming this is push-up related. By now we are at over 70/day. I am having some tendon? issues on the insides of my wrists and more noticeable shoulder pains...on BOTH sides!

Left wrist is worst, although odd pains started in the center of the right one first. crazy

Oddly, it doesn't actually bother me WHILE I'm doing the push-ups...but in particular, that area on the inside of the wrist ( literally the side, not the underneath), between the wrist bone and the last thumb joint (maybe?) that soft area? HURTS to touch/bend/move! cry

Ok guys please send good thoughts my way. Knee surgery tomorrow morning.

Joker, hope your pain subsides. Modify your pushups a bit, maybe? frown

Good luck, Mulberry and thanks!

Actually, I think I know where the actual culprit lies. It's that large(st) muscle on the forearm...the same one that tends to be the evil culprit with tennis elbow (which I also have).

If that's the case, I think I can control that with pressure therapy. smile

Good Luck Mulberry!!!

Joker, the make a device called "The Perfect Pushup". Its one of those hokey as seen on tv things, But it mght actually help your wrists. I have had the same issue and sometimes I can just adjust the position of may hands (both in relation to my shoulders and and as far as rotation is concerned), but sometimes I just have to use the TV gizmo. They are cheap and available in places liker Walgreens or Target.

I'll have to look for that, BBB1. I do adjust positions. I keep putting off a trip to Walgreens, so maybe this will get me there...if nothing else, I'm curious! laugh

I really have come to the conclusion tho that it's probably not truly my wrists...that's just the symptom...it's coming from the big muscle on top of the forearm.

I had a friend hit a seagull with his helmet on a motocycle trip we did in Northern CA once. EEEWWWWWWWWWW!
It took us an hour to clean up the mess and it dang near took him off the bike!
Didnt do the bird much good either...RIP Johnathan.

So I've taken to doing some of my push-ups on the stairs before going down and leaving for my morning workout. They're steep old house stairs, so I get a really nice workout from them. This morning my wife turned the corner and saw me there and sort of freaked out for a minute. (She has this thing where she associates unnatural human body positions with horror films and it creeps her out) I finished my set and was like "Yeah, I'd be a little scared too if I suddenly found out that I married a beast!"

She laughed, but I don't think it was because she thought I was being clever... smirk

I know I have to do 59 + today's date. Next month will be easy math knowing it's 90 + the date! This will work for May as well (except adding to 120), then gets back to uneven numbers in June (obviously). I'm doing sets of 25-30 generally, then knock off the remainder at the end. Not terribly time consuming yet, so long as I remember to do my Saturday and Sunday ones and don't have three days worth to do on Monday!

I'm think I'm going to be liking the month of February.
My desk calendar tells me what day it is and how many days in the year are left so during the week it wasn't a problem anyway, regardles of how many I did at a time...but this other way makes it MUCH easier on the weekends...assuming I don't forget, as Matt mentions. eek
