We have an internal form that we use to add or change any PODs to an account. Is it also necessary then to update the signature card as well to include the POD info (we use Wolters Kluwers forms)? We're trying to eliminate unnecessary paperwork if we can.

As long as the separate POD form is signed by account holders, I don's see a reason why you would also need a new signature card.

On the flip side, if your signature card has space for POD designation, why do you need a separet POD form?

The signature card doesn't allow us to capture all the information that we want. I think that's the premise of the separate form.

State of confusion
If you are using the additional form only to update/add/change POD's I do not see a reason to update the signature card with the customer, however I would suggest documenting on the signature card somewhere that there is an updated designation so that there is no confusion down the road.
