yikes! we didn't want our dish on the roof/house either so we made sure one of us was at home so we could make sure they put it on a pole. the guy was very nice and helpful. he even cleaned up after himself around the house and outside!

My other dish is on a pole...so now I have 2...so it really makes it look 'interesting'.

Cant they just mount it to one of the abandoned cars on the front lawn just like the neighbors?

we have had centurylink for a couple of years and i have to admit, i would not recommend it to anyone... we had to constantly call them to 'reset' our internet because of a storm and our phone line was hideous sounding. it was like a static in the background and we called numerous times to get them to come out and fix it but they said that there was no problem. only reason why we kept it because it was the only company that did offer internet at our previous home. not only they have bad internet/phone services, their customer service was not all that great either.

i pretty much got fed up with the guy that i was speaking to on the phone and basically told him to cancel my services becasue i do not want to give them anymore money for bad services.

i plan on checking periodically with at&t and dish to see when internet will be available for our new home unless i find something else that is available. i believe i will never go back to centurylink.

Peony... we have Verizon for our cell phones. We were able to get a "hotspot" added to our family plan that is our internet service for the house. We have 5G at about $50/mo. We live out in the country, so we have very limited options. I have been pretty pleased with the connectivity. One bonus - when we travel we take it with us so we always have internet. I hate to say it, but I have worked from the car using it too.

We have the share everything plan where you just pick your gigs usage. There is no extra fee for using the hotspot on your phone. That is great. Your supposed to be able to attach 5 devices to the MiFi device, but it slows down the internet connection when you do that so my daughter will use the mifi and I use my hotspot and we both have fast speeds.
