The Flood Determination Form, Box B1 and B2 contain the Map Number and Map Panel Effective/Revised Date of the Flood Map that was used to make the determination for a particular loan.

In my specific example, the map panel date on the flood determination is 8-23-2001. When you go to the Community Status Book for that state, the map date is 7-3-2012. (I did verify that both the flood determination and the Community Status Book were published after the map changes.)

My question: A Flood Map has a date. All the Flood Panels within that Map have a revision date. In theory, only a few panels in a map might change during a FEMA revision. Do the panels that are not changed retain their last revision date?

I don't know. I have only experienced the revision of a whole community and not an individual panel. Do you have a specific example???

I have the answer.

A Flood Map may have many panels. The revision date of any single panel within the map reflects the date of any revision. The Flood Map takes on the date of the latest revision date of any panel within the Map.

For my specific example, the panel was not changed in the 2012 revision process, therefore retained its 2001 date.
