Could someone please direct me to where in the reg it states that a bank's charter number must be on the flood form? I know it's there but cannot locate it. Thanks in advance.

www.fema.gov is where you will find the detemination form and instructions for completion of the form.

If anyone finds this please let me know where this rule is. My Sr. VP came to me with this same thing this week and we currently don't have it on there. We have our tax ID number but she seems to think we need our charter number too. I can't believe we have never gotten called on that one.

All the regulations say is that you have to use the form.

The closest you get on this is the instructions for item three, which says that your should use your FDIC insurance certificate number, credit union charter/insurance number, UNINUM number, or FNMA/FHLMC Seller/Servicer number, as appropriate.

In my last FDIC exam that was one of the first things our examiner checked for.

Same here. At our last exam we were cited for not having the Lender ID (chater number) on the form. It wasn't cited as a violation, but as a "technical issue".

I did go in and print this section off and got the number from my boss. Good to know! Didn't even know this was an issue but now fixed it before we got into trouble! It is apparently appropriate for us to use! Thanks a bunch!
