After 30 years (off and on) in banking, I finally get to retire from this crazy, stress-filled world known as "compliance". Turned in my resignation last week without another job lined up.  But last day is not until next month. Decided at this stage of my life that job enjoyment means so much more than a salary. I want to work in a veterinary office. I actually have an interview this afternoon. So excited!!

I'm only retiring from banking! I still have to work to pay bills, at least for another 15 years!!

I been thinking about winding down myself, still really have about 10 years left, girls are still in college, but once that stage is over I'm either going to propose PT in this position or go work at Barnes & Noble.

I want to work in a veterinary office. I actually have an interview this afternoon. So excited!! lets compare: Compliance officer - work in a professional environment, wear nice clothes, underpaid, people poop on you all day Veterinary worker - work with animals, wear casual attire, underpaid, get lickd and bit by animals, animals poop on you all day other than the licking and biting, they sound very similar! Enjoy every minute of it
